So, if we review the tally, I've had a Transformer purchase failure once a month for the last 5 months straight with 70% of the defects happening this year!!! The big question to ask is, why is this happening so frequently now, especially when they are increasing the MSRP on figures globally. Each of these figures specific issues have marred my collecting experiences What should be a happy occasion turns into a problem to be solved or an headache to be trudged through. Purchasing products or a service should not be like this. You should not purchase food and get poisoned. You should not purchase a Transformer figure and get something broken or incomplete out of a factory sealed box.
Hear this Hasbro, Takara Tomy, Fun Publications, your product quality is getting worse. GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER.
Any of you guys out there have defect stories about Transformers? Please chime in. I'd love to compare notes.

Too right my friend. I am personally sick to high hell of paint app mistakes in the Classics/Universe/Generations line of toys. I sometimes have to buy a figure 3 times and combine different pieces together, to get a perfect one. This is just not good enough, especially with the price they charge for figures these days. They are milking the fandom and not giving good quality control in return.
ReplyDeleteSORT IT OUT YOU HASBRO BASTARDS!
Damn, 3 purchases to get a single pristine figure is worse than anything I've encountered my friend.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if it's milking the fandom or just the overstretched limitations of their manufacturing base. After the movies came out the amount of Transformers toys out has probably quadrupled to meet the demands of the brand equity. Considering that there are now 4 distinct territories for the global Transformers brand and a multitude of demographics the companies have to cater to, its no wonder quality has gone down the tubes. Sadly, I doubt things will get any better quality wise nor will the price ever lower in the future.
Even if the hardcore fans stop supporting the hobby, the brand will live on with the new generation. We are all shit out of luck unfortuantely. ) =
